pip o. Studio Online Art Gallery Emotions

pipo. studio is a space for children, caregivers and educators to explore their emotions through artwork. We want to showcase how your children explore their emotions through art by submitting their work to be featured in pipo. studio’s emotion gallery.

How to be featured

Create an Artwork

Select or have your child make a drawing, painting, collage, or other artwork that reflects feelings or emotions.

The artwork does not need to be “perfect” all feelings and styles are welcome!

If you need some help getting started some prompts might be:

  • What colors do you associate with [Emotion] ?
  • What might someone be doing if they feel [Emotion] ?
  • Think of a time you felt [Emotion] recently, can you draw/paint how that was?
  • How might you be able to tell someone is feeling [Emotion] ?

You can also check out some existing examples in the gallery here

Discuss

Ask your child about their artwork, what emotions they were expressing and why? Write down their words if they want to share them.

Scan or Snap a Picture

Use good light: Place the artwork in a well-lit area (daylight near a window works best).
Avoid shadows: Take the photo directly above the artwork.
Fill the frame: Make sure the artwork is centered and clear.

Submit your Child’s Artwork

*please note all artists should be age 16 or younger
